Line Editing is refinement at the sentence level
Line Editing strengthens your writing at the sentence level. Line editing focuses on how your manuscript reads, sentence by sentence. It's where clarity, rhythm, pacing, and flow come into sharper focus, helping your prose feel more engaging, polished, and effortless to read.
This stage strengthens what's already working while refining what feels slightly off—from word choice and sentence structure to dialogue, transitions, repetition, and overall readability. The goal isn't to rewrite your voice, but to help it come through more clearly and confidently.
As part of the process, I also address grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency issues when they arise, creating a polished, professional manuscript while preserving your unique voice.

For writers who feel their story is there, but the writing isn’t fully landing yet, line and copy editing bring your work into sharper focus. This stage refines how your writing reads, sentence by sentence—strengthening clarity, improving flow, and addressing anything that interrupts the rhythm of the story.
At the same time, attention is given to the technical details that make your manuscript feel clean, consistent, and professional. From grammar and punctuation to continuity across character details, timelines, and formatting, everything is carefully reviewed so nothing distracts from the story itself.
You'll come away with a manuscript that reads more smoothly, communicates your ideas more clearly, and feels more confident on the page, without losing the voice that makes it yours.
Line editing focuses on the craft of your writing at the sentence level, strengthening clarity, flow, rhythm, pacing, and readability while preserving the voice that makes the manuscript yours.
Rather than changing the structure of your story, we'll focus on how that story is told on the page. I'll look closely at word choice, sentence structure, repetition, dialogue, transitions, and overall readability, refining what's already working and identifying language that may be holding the writing back.
While this is not a dedicated copyedit, I'll also correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency issues I encounter along the way.
